Franky GO is a browser-based onchain idle RPG on Abstract, in a retro pixel-art style. You play Franky the frog and try to survive 10 in-game days per run: making choices, avoiding traps, and winning 2D idle battles to earn "Crumbs", equipment, and memecoin rewards.
Season 1, in numbers
- 39,000+ unique players
- 682,716 games played
- 100+ ETH gross revenue across seven weeks
- 107M+ Crumbs collected
Tickets cost about $2 in ETH, with free daily plays for Franky's Dinner NFT holders. Rewards ranged from $YGG to Abstract memecoins, plus Abstract XP. Season 2 added ten new chapters, a gym leveling mini-game, an armor and weapon system with five rarity tiers of tradable NFT gear, and equipment merging.
Building it
The three weeks before launch were non-stop. I worked through the entire game surface daily: hunting bugs, probing my own systems for exploits, and refining every interaction until it held up. When real money and leaderboards are involved, an exploit is not a bug ticket but an economy leak, so I treated every reward path as an attack surface and kept attacking until I could no longer break it.
Games are the most demanding full-stack work I have done. Every system, from the economy to progression to latency, is visible to the player within minutes, and players report what they find immediately.
